Rating

Assessment

Papua New Guinea is rated Sufficient. Its aim to decrease its GHG emissions at least 50% before 2030 is significant. Papua New Guinea provided emission data for 2010 and 2030. Historic data are hardly available and consistency with earlier estimates is unclear. It would be desirable if more detailed data for historic emissions and future projections were available, e.g. in the Preliminary Climate Compatible Development Plan to come.
