Bangkok climate talks do not narrow the emissions gap

At the workshops at the UNFCCC meetings in Bangkok on 3 and 4 April, countries clarified their pledges, but did not increase their ambition level. The Climate Action Tracker issued a briefing paper. Brazil was moved from Sufficient to Medium, since the baseline was increased and the target, which we had assumed to be unconditional, was made conditional to international financing.
